Connecting to hotspot ipad air, iOS 8.4

I have a problem with my iPad air. The hotspot doesn't seem to work when I turn on LTE network. If I have the LTE option turned on then connect my macbook to the hotspot, the connection doesnt work. unless I turn off the LTE option.... How can I fix this issue? I recently purchased LTE data plan and it's really frustrating not being able to use it. Any help is appreciated.
